SecureSwim technology

Water wings that connect to a swim shirt.

The core invention is simple to understand and hard to miss on the shelf: floatation wings connect directly to a sun-protective swim shirt, helping prevent the common slip-off problem of traditional inflatable arm bands.

A secure connection

A secure connection

The patented SecureSwim connection keeps the wings tied to the shirt during active pool play.

Licensing opportunity

A patented design built for a larger swim lineup.

Otter Wings was created around a clear parent problem: life jackets can feel restrictive, while loose floaties can slip off. The shirt-connected system creates a distinctive product platform for learn-to-swim brands, swimwear companies, resorts, and recreation partners.

Founder story

Made after one water wing came off.

Otter Wings began after founder Tyler Berry watched a traditional water wing slip off his 3-year-old daughter as she jumped into a pool. Life jackets solved the security concern, but they were not the freedom-of-movement answer she wanted.

After several prototypes, the idea became a swim shirt with attached floatation points: sun protection, familiar water-wing buoyancy, and a connection kids could not easily shed mid-play.
